A number of channels and platforms are provided to parents so they can stay up to date with their daughter’s progress and in touch with the latest news and events from the school.
Child Safe Standards
Â鶹ÊÓƵ is committed to the care, safety and wellbeing of all students while in our care. Our staff have a shared responsibility to provide our students with a safe and secure environment on campus, online and in other locations provided by the school.
Ministerial Order 1359 is a key part of the Government’s response to the recommendations of the Victorian Parliamentary Inquiry into the Handling of Child Abuse by Religious and other Non-Government Organisations.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ supports the Ministerial Order and Child Safe Standards to ensure protection of all children, believing all young people have the right to be protected from all forms of abuse and neglect.
Operoo
Operoo is a parent controlled electronic medical and permission form system. Parents can control and update their daughter’s medical and emergency information. Â鶹ÊÓƵ uses Operoo to communicate important details relating to student excursions, camps and other events where parental/guardian permission for students’ attendance is required. It is essential that all students are set up in Operoo to enable students to visit Avila for an orientation experience.
Setting up an Operoo Profile
Each student requires an Operoo profile containing important information such as:
- Emergency contacts
- Medical contacts
- Details of medical conditions including asthma, allergies, seizures, diabetes
- Health and ambulance insurance details
- Notes and other care instructions from parents.
Parents are also able to upload scanned documents, such as medical certificates, care advice or management.

Updates and Support

PAM – Parent Access Module/SIMON Everywhere
The Parent Access Module (PAM) enables access to student timetables, daily messages, attendance records, teachers, assessment task feedback and reports. Absentee notices can be submitted and Parent-Student-Teacher interviews can be booked via PAM.
PAM is available as a mobile app – SIMON Everywhere or via a link on the Avila Community Connect portal.
SIMON Everywhere Download Instructions
- Search “Simon Everywhere” on the Apple App Store or Google Play on your phone.
- Install the Simon Everywhere app.
- Launch Simon Everywhere and register with your name and mobile number.
- Enter the verification code that is sent to you via SMS.
- Click “Add School” and select Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
- Select Parent Access.
- Select Students for the login type.
- Enter your existing PAM credentials.
Parent – Student – Teacher Conversations
Each semester, parents are invited to meet their daughter’s teachers to discuss and receive feedback on their progress. Students are expected to attend and actively take part in discussions about her learning.
Community Connect Portal
Avila’s Community Connect portal is a gateway to platforms such as PAM (below) and allows parents/guardians to make payments and view financial transactions.

Weekly Newsletter
